Welcome to ~8-bit , a community for fans/supporters of retro gaming. We’re still working to get this off the ground, so I'll keep this brief:

We are welcoming members right now, just send a note to ~8-bit , *hot-soup, or ~liquidr3d
Subject: 8-bit community Body: Sing me up! .... or something to that effect.

Since 8-bit gaming has a very wide following, the potential of this community to grow is limited only by it's exposure. I think we could become quite the community, provided we all pitch in.

What will ~8-bit actually do? Good question, we plan to cater to the needs and interests of our members, via discussion forums, contests, and other activity. We hope ~8-bit can be more that just an icon to take up space in your journal.

Hold it. Is this a club denouncing new games? 'Cause classics're just-as-good.....Not sayin' that yer opinion is faulted, it's just that I wanna let ya know that dislikin' new games just 'cause they're new is makin' ya just like those who dislike oldies just 'cause they're old......

I could be wrong. If this is simply fer ALL game-lovers, then I am da faulted one. I apologize.

So, I beat Zombies Ate My Neighbors with only using one health potion on snes today. Even though it isn't 8-bit, I thought it was an accomplishment to post.

Super Mario Amp 2 seems to be deleted for policy violations. Check my journal for details... I'm not trying to snag pageviews, but you guys are the 8-bit fans, and if the new rule is against using NES images in application skins, it's not only a bad sign for me, but also for you, to some extent. Hopefully the problem goes away... Anyway, this group is going to be cool, can't wait for contests and stuff!
